Can you believe this? Just months after search engine Google was made it tried to sell itself for $1m! But no one was interested in buying it. George Bell, CEO of Excite offered $750,000 saying that a million was to much but he rejected that offer as well.It was just months after Google has been set up in 1999 so Bell could be forgiven for rejecting that kind of money for the startup, but the industry must have been blind to the direction things were headed and the potential that this startup really had.
